The CogAT and Iowa Assessments will be administered to all second-grade students except those who qualify for an alternate assessment as determined by an Individualized Education Plan. These statewide assessments are used to identify students for the district's gifted and talented program (ALERT). They are just one of many ways students can qualify for ALERT. We will begin testing promptly at 8:30am and the testing should last approximately 1.5 - 2 hours each day. Please make every effort to have your child present and on time. Parent letters will be sent home to provide additional information about each assessment.
Iowa Assessment - Oct. 14 & Oct. 15 (Wednesday & Thursday)
CogAT Assessment - Oct. 21, Oct. 22, & Oct. 23 (Wed., Thurs., Fri.)
